I don't have many memories of being socially biased or prejudice. I think that this is seen a lot throughout the media. The George Floyd case, Brianna Taylor case and many others where there have been injustice due to race. This is an issue that has been going on for many years in the African American culture.
These injustices have sparked political debates and riots. It has also created a equal interest in ending racism in the world. Many races have come together to be a one in hopes to end these racial bias.
In hearing about these cases, it brought about anger, disgust and sadness. It is a shame that we are still going through this type of thing in 2020. This is something that has happened with slavery and segregation, and it is sad to see it still going on in a country that talks about freedom. In order to create change, it is going to take everyone to make that happen.
Dorothy,
I could not agree more that after all the years of working towards justice and peace for all, we have these tragedies in 2020. I think the one positive is that it is bringing about a LOT of good conversations of oppression, hatred and workplaces hopefully focusing on intolerance of these oppressive and disgusting behaviors.
