Diversity is simply a word
It doesn’t define who you are
It can dispel things that you have heard
People are different and it brings joy
Sex does not matter; girl or boy
Different complexions
Shades of a rainbow
The knowledge we gain helps us grow
People are diverse and of different backgrounds
This is the thing that helps the world go round
Dorothy,
Beautifully done! Representation in collaboration with modern issues is something that people don't usually see. "Different complexions, shadows of a rainbow" is probably the statement that stuck with me the most. It reminded me of "Colors of the rainbow" in Pocahontas. This is powerful stuff! Thank you for sharing!
Dorothy I love your poem, especially the line: "The knowledge we gain helps us grow." The more we know about each other the more we grow in our humanity. Thanks for sharing!

Hi Dorothy
What a nice way to illustrate your thought and philosophy about Diversity.
I resonate the most with the words "people are different and it brings joy", as I love to celebrate the differences among us.
Thank you for sharing!
