Hi Dorothy. Thr resources utilized have been overwhelming, but in a good way. It was known that the amount and high quality of tools are out there. It is interesting what one student finds useful versus another. See you in the discussion next week!

Thank you for sharing all these resources with us, it is a great list full of many great resources. I really like your resource about "What is the family impact on early childhood development." I am always remind myself that family has such a big impact on children and that things going on at home have a huge impact on the child's behavior or attitude at school. Thank you for sharing the extra resources, I will keep this list in mind if I every need more resources.

Hi Dorothy, I relate to the article regarding the impact and the role of a family in a child's life. I feel that we as early childhood educators and teachers, in particular, should have this article on display in our classroom, and as a classroom’s resource as well. Early childhood sets the foundation for a child's life. a time that a child's foster self-esteem gains skills and reaches developmental milestones. parental support is vital, La LaFourtune, A. (n.d).

Thank you for sharing the resource " How to Recognize, Report, and Manage Child Neglect." Recognizing the signs of neglect is important for all in the early childhood field. It can help us be aware of why a child may be acting a certain way. It can helps us determine if the child or family needs support or resources. Also, being in the early childhood field, we are mandated reporters if we suspect any child abuse or neglect. It is not up to us to determine if there is abuse or neglect. We report suspicions, then the proper authorities will investigate. Reporting any suspicions can help save a life and hopefully, the family will get the support they nee…
