What Have I Learned?

Hope:

One hope that I have when working with families of diverse backgrounds is that I am able to be sensitive to their backgrounds. I want to enable my families to have a voice and feel encouraged and not be fearful of their backgrounds.

Goal:

One goal I would like to set for the early childhood field as it relates to issues of diversity, equity, and social justice is to learn more about diversity issues. I encourage people to take workshops and anything that will allow them to be more sensitive and understanding to differences.

I have enjoyed all of the conversations that I have had within this class. I have learned a lot and will take these practices with me into my career.
